Natalie B., Office Administrator
Natalie is the Office Administrator. She joined the Team in April 2004.
Natalie was born in the Gaspe, Quebec area and has also lived in Montreal, Quebec. She moved out to Edmonton June 1979, and is now happily settled.
Natalie started out with chairside dental assisting and has since progressed to the Front Office. The dental profession is a continuously changing field and the learning cycle is on-going. To stay ahead of the change Natalie is always trying to improve her skills and knowledge through educational seminars, conferences and courses, always with patient care as her focus! She has enjoyed attending the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
In her spare time, Natalie enjoys spending time with family, caring for her pets and visiting with friends. Baking, yoga, traveling and shopping also top her list of favourite pastimes. She also fundraises for the local Humane Society and the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Kashka B., Registered Dental Assistant
Kashka has been a Registered Dental Assistant Level II for the past nine years; she graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).
Born and raised in Poland, Kashka moved to Canada twenty years ago. Her first dental experience was in a prosthodontic office where functional and aesthetic dentistry was a daily priority. She has worked with Dr. Fialka-Eshenko for three years now. Her favorite part of dentistry is where cosmetic dentistry meets functional excellence. She has taken many courses and passionately believes in providing quality dental services to all of her patients.
Personally, Kashka is married with three children ages 20, 18, and 15. Her children’s education, personal development and extracurricular activities are priorities to Kashka and her husband. All three children excel in soccer. They also have a beloved Yorkshire Terrier named Figo, who will always be Kashka’s baby.
Sevgi D., Sterilization Technician
Sevgi is a Serilization Technician for Focus on Smiles. She has been with the team since 2011.
Sevgi was born and raised in Turkey. She has spent the last twelve years in Canada. While in Canada, she has made it her business to keep the world a little cleaner. After studying at Norquest College she went to work in the private sector. She worked as an accountant assistant for a year for a big cleaning company. She then went on to open her own cleaning business over nine years ago. Her cleaning business specializes with Dental Clinics.
In her personal time, Sevgi loves spending time with her family. She enjoys long walks with her husband, Aleksandar and spending time with her three children. She has a 12 year old son who is a successful student and avid soccer player. She is also blessed with her four year old twins who are involved in Serbian Dance and Language classes. Sevgi loves to read and is constantly learning. She is learning Serbian as well with her twins and also enjoys reading about history and travel. Every summer her family travels to their favorite Canadian destination, Penticton BC for their family trip.
Cindy L., Registered Dental Assistant
Cindy is an office assistant at Focus on Smiles. She has been part of the team since October 2009.
Cindy was born and raised in Edmonton. She went to the University of Alberta and specialized in Dental Hygiene in her studies. Her love of learning keeps her up-to-date in the field of dentistry and she is active in expanding her knowledge through continuing education courses and seminars.
In her personal time Cyndi enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married for a little over three years. Her family has two cats, Sunny and Irene who she loves playing with. She also enjoys spending time travelling, playing tennis, badminton and jogging.
