NATALIE BRUMMET
Natalie is the Office Administrator. She joined the Team in April 2004.
Natalie was born in the Gaspe, Quebec area and has also lived in Montreal, Quebec. She moved out to Edmonton June 1979, and is now happily settled.
Natalie started out with chairside dental assisting and has since progressed to the Front Office. The dental profession is a continuously changing field and the learning cycle is on-going. To stay ahead of the change Natalie is always trying to improve her skills and knowledge through educational seminars, conferences and courses, always with patient care as her focus! She has enjoyed attending the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
In her spare time, Natalie enjoys spending time with family, caring for her pets and visiting with friends. Baking, yoga, traveling and shopping also top her list of favourite pastimes. She also fundraises for the local Humane Society and the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Heidi Binner, Registered Dental Hygienist
Heidi is an RDH who received her diploma in Dental Hygiene at the University of Alberta in 2002. The following year, she received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. In October 2008, Heidi completed the Comprehensive Dental Hygiene program at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), the premiere dental teaching school in the world. She is trained and certified to use the Periowave and Soft Tissue laser, and enjoys the opportunity to use the most current technology in her treatment protocols.
Heidi is one of the first team members our patients will encounter when they enter the practice. She is friendly, knowledgeable and is able to remain calm in all situations that arise.
In her free time, Heidi enjoys working puzzles, cooking, enjoying the beautiful outdoors, volunteering, and trying new restaurants.
Darlene, Registered Dental Assistant
Darlene has over thirty years of experience in the dental field. She has worked as a chair-side clinical assistant the majority of her career but has also enjoyed working up front as receptionist. Darlene is involved with the Edmonton Dental Assistants Association as past Treasurer and Parliamentarian and continues to volunteer on the committees. In 2008, she received the Supportive Member Award from the College of Alberta Dental Assistants.
Darlene’s husband’s name is Randy, and they have three sons. They enjoy traveling and music.
One of the best parts of working at Focus on Smiles is that Darlene gets to work with wonderful people every day by providing them with exceptional dental service.
Kashka Broda, Registered Dental Assistant
Kashka has been a Registered Dental Assistant Level II for the past nine years; she graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).
Born and raised in Poland, Kashka moved to Canada twenty years ago. Her first dental experience was in a prosthodontic office where functional and aesthetic dentistry was a daily priority. She has worked with Dr. Fialka-Eshenko for three years now. Her favorite part of dentistry is where cosmetic dentistry meets functional excellence. She has taken many courses at LVI and in Edmonton and passionately believes in providing the best possible dental services to all of her patients.
Personally, Kashka is married with three children ages 20, 18, and 15. Her children’s education, personal development and extracurricular activities are priorities to Kashka and her husband. All three children excel in soccer. They also have a beloved Yorkshire Terrier named Figo, who will always be Kashka’s baby.
